The Building Trades Advancement College of Nova Scotia is FOR TRADESPEOPLE, BY TRADESPEOPLE.

Construction activity in the province is at an all-time high and Nova Scotia is facing an urgent demand for large numbers of skilled trades workers. To respond to this need, our unions have consolidated training centres and created the Building Trades Advancement College of Nova Scotia (BTAC) to promote access to skilled trades training and careers.

BTAC is the largest private sector training program in Nova Scotia. Our 13 Building Trades Unions operate seven campuses representing over 11,000 of Nova Scotia’s Industrial-Commercial-Institutional (ICI) skilled tradespeople, in partnership with over 350 ICI contractors.

BTAC Nova Scotia provides unparalleled industry-led training for Nova Scotia’s ICI building and construction industry. It offers Pre-Apprenticeship and Direct Entry opportunities in over 20 different skilled trades.
